1. Overview
WatchRadar is an iPhone application focused on watch authentication. We collect the minimum information needed to provide scan analysis, issue Authenticity Certificates, and keep the app reliable.
2. Data we may process
- Account identifiers required for subscription state and certificate issuance.
- Watch scan images and the visual signals derived from them, used to compute a verdict.
- Optional provenance attachments you upload (receipts, warranty cards, service entries).
- Diagnostic and crash information used to improve stability.
- Subscription metadata processed through Apple's billing flows.
3. How we use it
- To run the precision scan, horological assessment, market-value estimate and certificate flow.
- To improve recognition quality and reference matching.
- To prevent abuse and protect account integrity.
- To respond to support requests and lawful requirements.
4. Authenticity Certificates
When you generate an Authenticity Certificate, a public verification page is created at /authenticity_certificate/<WRC-id>. That page includes the watch identification, verdict, confidence, issue date and a verification QR code so that anyone receiving the certificate can confirm it. You can request takedown of a certificate by emailing the address below.
5. Third-party services
WatchRadar may rely on third-party providers for hosting, analytics, and the verification surface. Apple manages all App Store payments. We do not sell personal information.
6. Retention
Scan data is kept only for as long as needed to provide the service and for reasonable model-quality work. Certificates are retained as long as the verification surface needs to resolve their ID. You may request deletion of certificates and account data.
7. Your rights
Where applicable law applies, you can request access, correction, or deletion of personal data. Email contact@watchradar.space from the email tied to your account so we can verify the request.
8. Security
We apply technical and organizational safeguards. No system can be guaranteed fully secure, but we continuously improve the controls we apply.
9. Disclaimer
WatchRadar provides a confidence-based verdict from visible cues. It does not provide legal certification of authenticity and does not replace a movement inspection by a watchmaker for high-value purchases.
10. Updates
We may update this policy when features or legal obligations change. Material updates will be reflected by changing the effective date above.
